Front Office Medical Assistant (Cross-Trained / Multiple Locations) Maryland Region


Peachtree Immediate Care is currently seeking a Front Office Medical Assistant to support multiple high-volume clinic locations. This is an evergreen position designed to build a strong pipeline of candidates who are comfortable working primarily in a front office capacity while also being cross trained to support clinical operations as needed. Position Overview
This role is primarily front office–focused, including patient check-in, registration, and administrative support, with cross-training in clinical responsibilities as needed. This position may support multiple clinic locations based on business needs. We are seeking candidates who are professional, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.

Locations include:

Prince Frederick, Dunkirk, Solomons, California, Clinton, Fort Washington, Germantown, Rockville, Silver Spring, Laurel
 
Front Office Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform patient registration and verify insurance information
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries
  • Collect copays and required documentation
  • Manage patient flow and coordinate with clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry in the system
 
Clinical Support Responsibilities (Cross-Trained)
  • Assist providers (Physician, PA, NP) with patient care
  • Prepare patients for examination and document vital information
  • Perform basic clinical duties within scope of practice
  • Conduct lab testing and assist with procedures as directed
  • Administer medications per provider orders
  • Perform venipuncture and basic wound care
  • Support radiographic imaging, if applicable
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
 
Basic Function
Under general supervision, the Clinical Support Team assists providers in delivering patient care within an urgent care setting. Responsibilities include both administrative and clinical support functions, ensuring efficient operations and a high-quality patient experience.
 
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certification preferred)
  • OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), EMT, or Radiologic Technologist with active licensure
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • 1–2 years of experience in an outpatient or urgent care setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EMR systems)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
 
Additional Requirements
  • Must be comfortable working primarily in a front office environment
  • Willingness to be cross-trained in both front and back-office duties
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to support multiple clinic locations
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
 
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a clean, well-lit clinical environment. Exposure to infectious diseases and medical conditions is possible. Schedule may vary based on clinic needs, including weekends and holidays.
