Your Opportunity:
CRH Healthcare is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team supporting our Midtown and Edgewood urgent care locations in Atlanta, GA. This permanent opportunity offers a unique scheduling structure designed to support increased patient demand during our peak urgent care season.
Initially, the provider will work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, through April 2027, helping our clinical teams manage higher seasonal patient volumes while maintaining exceptional patient care. Beginning in May 2027, the position will transition to our standard 12-hour urgent care shift schedule.
We are looking for a clinically confident, adaptable provider who enjoys treating a diverse patient population, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable supporting multiple locations.
What You Will Do:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of acute illnesses and injuries, including higher-acuity presentations.
- Manage episodic and chronic conditions for walk-in and same-day patients ages 2 and up.
- Perform in-clinic procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, orthopedic splinting, and other appropriate urgent care interventions.
- Conduct physical examinations including sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual physicals.
- Evaluate and manage occupational injuries and workers’ compensation cases.
- Interpret diagnostic testing, including X-rays, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with on-site clinical teams to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care environment.
- Provide clinical coverage across our Midtown and Edgewood locations based on operational needs.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with urgent care, emergency medicine, or higher-acuity clinical experience strongly preferred.
- Master’s degree in an applicable NP or PA program and current Georgia licensure.
- Strong clinical judgment and confidence in evidence-based medical practices.
- Proficiency in common urgent care procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
- Experience with X-ray interpretation and diagnostic decision-making.
- Experience with occupational medicine, workers’ compensation, and DOT physicals preferred.
- ACLS / BLS certification, or willingness to obtain certification with company support.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, bloodborne pathogens, and applicable healthcare compliance standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and common computer applications.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care.
- Flexibility to support both Midtown and Edgewood locations and transition to a 12-hour shift schedule beginning May 2027.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Through April 2027: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing additional clinical coverage during peak urgent care season.
- Beginning May 2027: Transition to regularly scheduled 12-hour urgent care shifts.
- Permanent provider position supporting our Midtown and Edgewood locations.
- Flexible schedules planned approximately three months in advance.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Limited weekends under the regular urgent care scheduling model.
- Clinics closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter, with early closing on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and July 4th.
