Staff Accountant – Vinings, GA – Onsite – In Office

CRH’s centers are open seven days a week and provide walk-in care for injury, illness, and minor emergencies as well as family care to keep both parents and kids healthy.  
 
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is a key contributor to the accounting function of CRH Healthcare.  This is an opportunity to be a member of an ambitious and small-knit team to help further grow one of the fastest-growing healthcare firms in the US.

KEY DUTIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Actively participate in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries for accruals and intercompany expenses.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions (recording deposits, verifying bill payments, inter-company transfers) and prepare journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
    • Monthly, reconcile all bank accounts
    • Ensure all reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis.  Discuss with Manager, any items outstanding for more than 45 days.
    • Ensure Managers are kept appraised of reconciling items and issues as they arise.
    • Reconcile other Balance Sheet accounts as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Assist in explaining or correcting Trend Analysis variances. Identify and communicate areas of concern before Trends are distributed to the CFO.
  • Work closely with cross- functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
  • Assist in preparation of non-income tax filings – Property Tax.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of best accounting practices and controls to increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of accounting operations and to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or management.
  • 1-4 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP system and reconciliation tools (Preferably NetSuite and FloQast).
  • A desire to work as part of a team with a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and always meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Creative and resourceful problem solver – investigative and analytical skills are required.
